What does a professional voice-over cost?

Factors for voice over rates

Factors that can determine the price of a professional voice-over include the length of the text, the purpose of the text and whether you are taking one or several orders at once. For example, a few short sentences for a telephone exchange will cost less than voicing a long e-learning video. A voice-over for a short corporate film be cheaper than for a national television commercial. A special rate can also be agreed for larger projects. What does buy-out mean in voice-over?

For commercial productions, fees are often divided into two parts. The first part is for recording the audio, and the second part is for the right to broadcast the recorded audio. This right is called a buy-out. In rates for radio and TV commercials, the buy-out is included for one year. If you want to use the commercial for longer, you pay 50% of the original rate per additional year. It is also possible to buy-out for a longer period. For voice-overs with no commercial purpose, such as e-learning videos and corporate videos, buy-out is not applicable. For online videos, it depends on how the video is used. No studio fees

As I have my own professional recording studio with high-quality equipment, you don't pay extra for studio hire. I can also come and record on location. In that case, travel costs do apply, of course.

Rough voice-over recording

As standard, I deliver raw recordings that are free of slips, but not edited to remove breaths, clicks and plops, for example. For an additional charge, I can also fully post-process the recording for you. For interactive voice response (telephone switchboard) you always receive a clean, ready-to-use recording. So you can get started right away!
